About my Linen and Lace
- Pattern Used: My own design
- Fabrics Used: Tessuti Linen and Lace: Poppies White, 100% Rayon
- Time To Create: 3 day's
- Dress Influenced By: Spring in the country air. I wanted to create something simple, fresh and playful.
- Additional Information: I love working with linen, it is one of the most endearing fabrics around and is fabulous for our warmer climate! It is a great fabric to manipulate and even though it sometimes need's a good iron, the creases create a cheeky charm.

- Name: Samantha Gehrich

- Sewing Since: maybe age 5
- My Experience: I studied Fashion and Textile Design in Sydney and graduated three year's ago. Prior to that there were many Saturday night's spent listening to 6 o'clock rock, trying to work my way through whatever paper pattern mum had lying around in the laundry cupboard.
- My Sewing Goals: To one day have my own successful small label specialising in coat's and jacket's.
- Additional Information: Quality, colour and 'wearability.'

i know i'm not supposed to say this about the competition, but that dress is very pretty. I love how you've done a sort of empire waist and then embroider on the lace. Very clever.

Totally gorgeous! Love the pleats.. they look fabulous! And the lace feature is wonderful! Love the asymetric approcah to the lace!

I agree with Andy it is a VERY CLEVER style. The real wow factor is the asymmetrical placement of the lace. It would be a pleasure to wear this.
